I’ve heard it said that singing is praying twice. That’s why, if given a choice, I would embrace a good voice.

But God knows best.

For many years I believed I was born to bake. At night I would fantasize of culinary creations. During the day, I would attempt to reconstruct these creations while daydreaming of owning a coffee shop that would someday serve my culinary masterpieces. (At least, that’s what I thought they were.) I assumed that God had given me hands to bake.

After over a quarter century of dreaming and preparing (sort of) for my coffee shop, I realized I was wrong. My baking was only meant for school bake sales as well as birthday and holiday family gatherings.

God made my hands to write His stories. And I believe he wants me to share them with as many people as possible.

God wants everyone to know that He is always with us, watching and guiding us along our journey here on earth. He gave us his Son, chose the Blessed Mother, even sends angels and saints to help us.

But He also gave us free will, something that usually complicates our journey. It’s so easy to get lost in the many distractions of this world.

When we’re ready to get back on the right path, He will be there waiting for us.

My name's Anna Maria! I publish a new blog post every Monday and Friday, two of my favorite days! If you want to learn more about my journey, my book "Touched by Grace: The Journey" will be released this summer through Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

In the meantime, check out my website touchedbygrace.today and subscribe for book updates and more blog posts! If you've been #tbgtoday, feel free to share your story of grace here.
