*This story is the third of a 9-day series on St. Therese's promise of helping those in need manifested sometimes through a shower of roses.

Uncle Mike, Auntie Ludy's husband, was diagnosed with terminal stomach cancer. They prayed unceasingly to Jesus with special prayers to St. Therese of Lisieux. They both decided to visit the Basilica of St. Therese in Lisieux during his last days.
The church was empty except for a nun whom they both saw inside the church. They both prayed and stayed a bit longer inside the Basilica while intermittently glancing at the nun who stayed close to the altar. Uncle Mike did not feel any differently after they left.
Back in New Jersey during his medical appointment, the doctors were baffled to see that diagnostic tests did not show the immense, fast growing cancerous mass! Only then did Uncle Mike and Auntie Ludy wonder if the nun could have been St. Therese.
Uncle Mike lived for another twenty years. One day while shoveling the snow on their front yard, he slipped, hit his head on the cement, and instantly passed away.
Twenty years was a most beautiful and wonderful gift to the family.
Thank you, St. Therese for your intercession.
