Better Late than Later...

Updated: Oct 27, 2022

I don’t know if my dear friend originally coined “Better late than later,” a variation from the original, “Better late than never.”

In the 90s, he used to say that whenever he arrived late to meetings.

I thought that wasn't a big deal, as with most things in life:

It’s better to learn the lesson late than later.

It’s better to give a gift late than later.

It’s better to do chores late than later.

But there’s one time it won’t do any good.

When our time on earth is done, and we haven't started a relationship with our Lord, then “Better late than later” wouldn't be any good.

By then it’ll just be too late.
