On Doing Small Things

People cutting watermelons into thick slices

It was one of those busy days when I wanted to get

a lot of things done. Things that would matter. Like finishing another blog or planning my schedule.

I was cutting some melons and thought, "I should be doing

something better with my time than cutting melons." Then a

thought flashed through my mind, "Do small things with great

love."

Then I understood. We do not have to do great things in this

life to matter. The smallest task would look so much brighter to our Lord if it were done with a loving heart.

St. Therese of Lisieux knew this. And that's how she always

spent her day. Doing small things with great love.

My name's Anna Maria! I publish a new blog post every Monday and Friday, two of my favorite days!If you want to learn more about my journey, my book "Touched by Grace: The Journey" will be released late summer through Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

In the meantime, check out my website touchedbygrace.today and subscribe for book updates and more blog posts! If you've been #tbgtoday, feel free to share your story of grace here.
