Paul was watching the Barrett-Jackson auctions on TV, and I decided to join him. I caught a live bid for a sports car. The price began at $1.2 million and ended at $2.5 million. At the end of the bidding war, I thought, "What a car!"

Then I thought that one wouldn't really need that in heaven, would we? I don't think anyone drives there because they fly.

Maybe we can try focusing on "things" that we can carry with us to heaven ... the kindness we do, goodness we share and above all, the love we give away.

And the best part of all is that it doesn't cost anything.
