Good Friday

Many years ago I dreamed that I was in the middle of what seemed like the ocean, drowning. I don’t recall any other details – not the what, why and how I got myself into that dilemma. I knew the waves were pushing me down, and I knew I was going to die.

Then suddenly out of nowhere, a strong arm lifted me out of the water, and the next thing I knew was that I was alive. I don’t recall anything else except that upon waking up from that sleep, my heart was filled with gratitude for the person who saved me. I had a debt that could never be paid back.

In my heart I knew it was Jesus who saved me from drowning. I did not nor could not do anything that would merit my salvation. It was pure grace.

And it was because of the gratitude that everything I do henceforth shall be for praise and thanksgiving to him.
