On Unfairness

What can one do when there is unfairness in life?

I was feeling so bad for my son who studied for as many as two to three hours a day for a music course that he had no proclivity, no talent for. Sleepless nights on exam days.

I’ve been telling my boys to just do their best and the grades should follow. But here is a glaring exception: getting a "C" when the effort given was an AAA+.

I thought, “Life’s unfair.”

Then the thought crossed my mind, “Jesus died on the cross just because. There couldn’t be any worse unfair situation than that.”

All we can do is our best.
