On Reconciliation

…23Therefore if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24leave your gift there before the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift.

- Matthew 5:23-24

Why is it very difficult to reconcile with someone?

In making the first move, we are humbling ourselves. We are also putting ourselves at the mercy of another and taking the risk of being rejected.

Nevertheless, all the subjection involved is nothing compared to the joys of a clear mind, grateful heart and the reward of eternal life. Guaranteed.
