On Halloween

One early Halloween evening, Paul, the boys, and I started trekking the neighborhood as the sun started to set. Only a handful of trick-or-treaters joined us. It was probably our third stop at a house for goodies, but a note above an empty basket met us:

"Happy Halloween!

We are sorry we had to leave.

Please get 1-2 pieces of candy per child."

Someone got the whole basket of candy!

Those people forgot that there's always someone watching from above.
