On Where the Heart Is

Updated: Oct 27, 2022

A cousin-in-law celebrated her 50th birthday. She had a candle giveaway that had the inscription:

Turning 50, Looking 30, Feeling 20. (Good for her!)

I countered with mine:

Turning 60. Looking 80. Feeling 100.

I suppose whatever our age is, however we look and feel, the most important thing is where our heart is.

If it’s in the right place with our Lord, we’re good at any age.

And if the heart’s somewhere else, no amount of looking and feeling good will stay with us for the long-run.

Let’s keep our hearts close to our Lord.

That way, we shall look and feel good. And above all, live eternally.
