Silence is golden.

I’ve heard this so many times from my mom. She's a lady of few words, but when she says something, it echoes deep into the chambers of my mind, heart and soul.

Mom’s silence has worked its miracles on me. When there was something we had different viewpoints on, she would just keep quiet instead of repeating herself. It now seems that her points were made clearer with her silence, whereas I would repeat myself until even I grew tired of it.

It seems just the same with God. He very often seems to be silent.

Looking back on my life, God made himself known to my heart when I prayed profoundly and turned off everything around me. Then, I felt his presence. And during very precious moments, he spoke.

Try finding your special time of silence. And listen carefully to what you'll hear. It'll go deep into your heart and soul.
