9-11

I don’t think there's an adult out there who doesn't remember where he or she was when the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center were hit on 9-11-2001.

That morning, I was preparing for the day when I heard confusion over the radio. All I heard was “The tower was hit…” I ran to the TV to see what was going on and I was horribly stunned by what I saw.

My tears flowed unceasingly. I had a kindergartener, a pre-schooler and just gave birth to my youngest son. I could only imagine all the children in the homes surrounding New York with no parent to go home to. It was a heartbreaking thought and it took me a long time to recover.

It’s been 17 years since. We move on and the pain may have lessened. But the heart will always be touched with the memory.

Please take the time today to pray for peace in our lives and in the world.
