I love reading quotes. I think of these as bits of wisdom that added color to my journey through life. It’s like a parent sharing the wisdom of the ages with me, but I can ‘listen’ to them only when I want to.
As a college first-year, I stayed in the library between classes until it was time to go home.
I stayed in the General Reference area where I discovered several books on quotations. There I read those words of wisdom and took them to heart.
As I journeyed through life, my young leisurely pursuit presented themselves whenever various situations arose. Some would comfort and strengthen me during challenging times; others would bring me joy while others would open my mind to the possibility of the improbable.
