Rain of fire

It started Labor Day weekend last year, one after another and ended around the Christmas season.

This year, the huge California wildfires started much earlier, spread wider and lasted longer. Some may not even be fully contained as of this writing.

The loss and damage to lives and properties are immeasurable.

"Is there anything good that could come out of this?" I pondered. I believe it forces us to ask ourselves, "What is it that really matters when a tragedy like this happens?"

The love and support of family and friends.

A faith strong enough to withstand this tragedy.

And generous, caring hearts that no one will ever know except God.
