*This story is the last of the 9-week story series on St. Therese. Hope the stories added inspiration to your days.

I have devotions to many saints. In fact, there are three or four saints I say "Good morning!" to every single day.

But one of my closest friendships is with St. Thérèse of Lisieux, the "Little Flower." Over the decades, I’ve experienced her quiet guidance more times than I can count.

Late last winter, I found myself standing at a major crossroads. A dilemma was weighing on my heart, and I was torn between four distinct paths. Each option carried its own weight and its own future, and I felt completely stuck. I didn't just need a logical answer; I needed divine guidance.

So, I turned to St. Thérèse, who famously promised before her death that she would spend her heaven doing good on earth with a shower of roses.

I prayed and asked her to guide me. If I get red roses, that means she is telling me to pursue Path One. If I get pink roses, it will be Path Two; white roses means Path Three, and yellow roses meant Path Four.

I went about my days, waiting faithfully for my answer.

About a week later, a friend dropped by holding a vibrant bouquet of red roses! My heart leaped. Path One! A wave of relief and excitement washed over me.

As I took the flowers and thanked her, my friend sighed with a small smile.

"You know," she said casually, "I actually didn't want to get you red ones. I spent so much time looking at the pink, white, the yellow roses. But every single one of those bouquets was wilted and droopy. The only fresh, beautiful ones left were these red ones!"

Time stopped.

In that single, passing comment, it wasn't just my friend speaking. I felt St. Thérèse herself talking to me! She didn't just pick the Red roses... she specifically mentioned the other colors that I had asked her, as if to reassure me that she truly heard me.
