More than coping.

When was the last time you had this many extra days, not just hours, to spare?

We all follow the guidelines to stay home.We have learned to cook new dishes, cleaned out the house, maybe tended the garden, caught up with our fave shows and movies as well as books. And hopefully reconnected more with loved ones, began nourishing our spirits and helped in some way those most affected by this pandemic.

But let us not forget the forest for the trees. At the end of this adversity, have we learned something more than coping and helping?

COVID-19 has led me to face my mortality. I hear of family, friends, and even acquaintances, who have been infected. One passed away. I feel no one is exempt. COVIC-19 is an equalizer. Am I ready?

And just how does one get oneself ready for death? For me, it is to have Jesus in my heart.

If we have a relationship with him, then we will never die. Our bodies will. But not our spirit.

Jesus said it himself. Many times.
