On Answered Prayers

Do you remember the longest time it took for God to answer YES to your prayer?

When petitioning God or Jesus, I often ask saints to pray with me or to ask for their intercession. A few weeks ago, St. Therese interceded for me when I needed guidance. And it took just four days to get an answer.

Last December, I prayed to Jesus for a precious and memorable Christmas, and it took about two weeks to receive exactly what I prayed for - the most precious Christmas gift I've ever received. Last year, my husband and I prayed with regard to our son's plans, and our prayers were heard after a few months. So many more prayers were answered, and we are deeply grateful to our Lord.

Looking back though to some very serious petitions during my life, one took 10 years to be answered. Another took 15, another 20, and another took over 40 years. I realize it took that many years to be answered because so many events had to take place to make things right.

But when the answer came, time did not matter. The decades seemed to fade like gray clouds vashing into thin air. It was all worth it the wait.

Because everything will be in God's time.
