A Heartfelt Surprise

My sister texted me a video. The video showed a man sharing a story. He said that one day in February close to Valentine's Day, he asked his students (He was a teacher.) to help him serenade his girlfriend while working at a dental school. (She was a dentist.) The students were excited to join the plan. They were supposed to surprise the girlfriend by singing a love song. When it was time for the chorus, it was the man who was going to come out of hiding, bringing flowers and singing the chorus solo.

So, the man hid himself, and his students serenaded the girlfriend. When the chorus started, the man came out of his hiding place to sing to the lucky lady. Who wouldn't swoon over this happening to someone?

The man then said that is what God is doing daily to us. He courts us, serenades us every day. He comes to us in the small things. He is saying that his love will not change. Every single moment. Do we know that? Can we feel that?

My mind said, "That's such a beautiful thought ... that God really loves us, and that he wants us." Then my thoughts continued, "How many times do these romantic things happen anyway?" My husband is not romantic. Well, I thought, "It's nice to ponder how much God loves us, but I don't think he's the romantic type. I can't imagine him sending roses or anything like that."

A friend dropped by a few hours later. Guess what she brought? Red roses for me!

My heart suddenly filled with awe.

I belive God wanted to remind me that He really loves us, and will do anything to remind us of that love.
